Top questions
What is ProsAccess?
ProsAccess is a marketplace where you find and book independent professionals for one-to-one video sessions — advice, lessons, mentorship, consultations — and for Group Sessions.
Search or browse Pros, read their profiles, choose a Pro yourself, book securely and meet through ProsAccess.
Is ProsAccess an AI service?
No. ProsAccess is built around access to real people and real-world experience.
Technology helps with discovery, scheduling, payments and communication, but your session is with the Pro you booked.
Who can be a Pro on ProsAccess?
Pros range from independent professionals and specialists to experienced industry leaders, educators, creatives, executives and licensed professionals.
Some Pros join as Independent Pros. Others complete additional review and receive ProsAccess Verified status.
What does ProsAccess Verified mean?
ProsAccess Verified means ProsAccess reviewed evidence supporting the Pro’s professional identity — for example control of an established professional account, official business or organization information, professional credentials, attestations from Verified Pros or a representative’s confirmation. A government ID alone is not what earns it.
It is a check of stated information at the time of review, not an endorsement or recommendation of the Pro, and it does not guarantee a particular result from a session.
How do I book a Pro?
Depending on the Pro, you may be able to book an available time from their published schedule, request a time and let the Pro offer or approve one, talk now when the Pro has Available NOW turned on, or join a Group Session hosted by the Pro.
Each Pro controls which options they offer.
How much does a session cost?
Pros set their own prices and session lengths.
The price is always shown before you book or pay.
Can I talk to someone immediately?
If a Pro has Available NOW enabled, you can request an immediate session without scheduling days in advance.
Available NOW only appears when the Pro has chosen to make themselves reachable in real time.
Can I cancel a booking?
Yes. You can cancel any time before the session starts and you’re refunded in full — no cancellation window, no fee.
Once a session is in progress you can’t self-cancel; use Report a session issue instead and ProsAccess reviews it against the session record.
What are Group Sessions?
Group Sessions are live sessions hosted by a Pro for multiple participants — classes, workshops, Q&As, demonstrations, discussions and other interactive experiences.
You can discover them throughout ProsAccess, including on participating Pro profiles.
Can you notify me when a Pro creates a Group Session?
Yes. Choose Notify me about Group Sessions on a Pro’s profile and ProsAccess alerts you when that Pro publishes a new public Group Session.
You don’t need to have booked or followed the Pro.
Booking & Sessions
What is Published Availability?
Published Availability lets a Pro show specific times that can be booked directly.
Select an available time, complete checkout and the session is confirmed.
What is Availability Upon Request?
Some Pros prefer not to publish their whole calendar.
You send the Pro a request and, where supported, a few times that work for you. The Pro can respond with an available time, message you or decline.
A request reserves nothing — you have a session only once you’ve chosen an offered time and completed checkout.
What is Available NOW?
Available NOW means the Pro has intentionally made themselves available for an immediate one-to-one session.
It is separate from their regular schedule.
Is Available NOW guaranteed?
No. The Pro may become unavailable, may already be connecting with another User, or the session may fail to connect.
ProsAccess shows the current booking and payment state, and if the Pro doesn’t join or the session doesn’t connect, you’re refunded.
What if the Pro has no available times?
Some Pros accept booking requests even when they have no published availability.
You can also choose availability alerts on a Pro’s profile so you know when they open new times, reopen bookings or go Available NOW.
How long are sessions?
Each Pro chooses the session lengths they offer.
Available lengths and prices appear on the Pro’s profile before booking.
Can I add more time while I’m talking to a Pro?
Where supported, yes. You can request additional time during a session.
The Pro must agree, the extra time must not clash with their schedule, and the additional charge is shown before you ask and taken only after the Pro accepts.
Can I message a Pro?
Messaging is available around bookings and requests.
Your conversation with a Pro stays available after a session so you don’t lose the context.
Can I send documents or files?
Where file sharing is available, you can send supported files through ProsAccess messaging.
Don’t send passwords, financial credentials or other information a Pro doesn’t need.
How should I prepare for my session?
Come with a clear goal.
For a short session especially, send the Pro a concise description of what you want to discuss — clarity about what you want helps the Pro use the time well.
Free Intro Sessions
What is a Free Intro Session?
Some Pros offer a 15-minute Free Intro.
It lets you meet the Pro and see whether working together makes sense before booking a paid session.
Does every Pro offer a Free Intro?
No. It is optional and controlled by the Pro.
How many Free Intro Sessions can I have with the same Pro?
One. A Free Intro is available once between you and a given Pro.
If you don’t show up, it counts as used; if the Pro can’t make it, you get it back.
Can I purchase a recording or add paid time to a Free Intro?
No. Free Intro Sessions are separate from paid sessions: no recording purchase, no paid Add Time, and no review afterwards.
If you want more, book one of the Pro’s paid sessions.
Group Sessions
Where can I find Group Sessions?
Through Group Session discovery, Explore and search, and directly on participating Pro profiles.
Public Group Sessions also have a link the host can share.
Can I join a Group Session after it has started?
That depends on the session: hosts can allow late booking until shortly before the end, or close booking at the start.
If it’s still bookable, ProsAccess shows the option.
What happens when a Group Session is live?
What if a Group Session is sold out?
The session shows Sold out.
You can still subscribe to future Group Session notifications from that Pro.
Can I get notified before a Pro schedules anything?
Yes. That’s exactly what Notify me about Group Sessions is for.
You can subscribe even when the Pro has no Group Sessions scheduled.
Does a Pro know that I subscribed?
The Pro sees only how many people subscribed, never who.
Your subscription is a notification preference — it isn’t messaging, booking or following the Pro.
Can I cancel a Group Session seat?
Yes, any time before the session’s scheduled start, for a full refund. A seat bought in the iPhone app is paid through the App Store, so its refund is requested from Apple.
If the host cancels, seats paid on the web are refunded in full; App Store purchases are refunded through Apple, and the app shows how to request it.
Are Group Sessions recorded?
Only when the host has turned recording on for that session.
It’s shown on the session page before you book and in the room, and everyone with a seat gets a 7-day replay link for personal viewing. Attendees aren’t on camera unless the host invites them on stage.
Payments
When am I charged?
At checkout, when you book a time or a seat, or start an Available NOW session.
Add Time is charged only after the Pro accepts. A recording add-on is charged when you buy it and refunded if no recording is made. A Free Intro is never charged.
The amount and the terms are shown before you confirm.
Can a Pro change the price after I book?
No. The price, session type and length of a confirmed booking are locked.
Anything additional — such as approved Add Time — is a separate, separately confirmed charge.
What currency will I pay in?
The checkout screen shows the currency and total before payment (U.S. dollars today).
Payment methods and currencies may vary by market.
Will I receive a receipt?
Yes. Receipts and important service emails are sent even if you turn off optional email notifications.
Why am I receiving a ProsAccess email when I turned email notifications off?
Optional notifications and essential service messages are different.
You still receive receipts, refund notices, session summaries, recording delivery, account-security messages and other emails needed to operate your account or complete a transaction.
Cancellations & Problems
Can I cancel a booking?
Yes. Any time before the session starts, for a full refund — no window, no fee.
After the session has started, use Report a session issue instead and ProsAccess reviews it against the session record.
What happens if the Pro cancels?
You’re refunded in full, automatically.
What if the Pro does not show up?
Wait in the room for the material-lateness period — 5 to 10 minutes depending on the session length. If the Pro hasn’t joined by then, you may leave; the session is reviewed against the session record and you’re refunded in full.
You can also report it from the booking with Report a session issue.
What if the Pro is late?
A Pro is materially late when they haven’t joined within 20% of the session length — never less than 5 minutes and never more than 10, so 5 to 10 minutes depending on the session length.
If you’re in the room and the Pro hasn’t joined by then, you may leave and you’re refunded in full. If the Pro joins late and the lost time isn’t made up, use Report a session issue for a proportional refund.
What if I miss my session?
If you don’t cancel before the start and don’t attend, the Pro is paid for the reserved time — if the Pro joined and waited.
Cancel beforehand and you’re refunded in full. A missed Free Intro counts as used.
What if there is a technical problem?
Try to rejoin — the room stays open.
If a technical issue prevents the session from taking place properly, use Report a session issue; the session record is reviewed and a replacement session or a refund is arranged where the failure wasn’t on your side.
Am I guaranteed to be satisfied with the advice I receive?
No. You are purchasing the Pro’s reserved time and the service described at booking — their time, knowledge and perspective — not a particular result.
A completed session isn’t refundable because you disliked the advice, opinion, outcome or perceived value; refunds are for objective delivery failures, such as a Pro who didn’t join or a session that didn’t happen as booked. Your statutory rights as a consumer are unaffected. If a session disappointed you, leave a review — that’s what reviews are for.
Session issue or review — which one?
Use Report a session issue when something objectively went wrong with delivery: the Pro didn’t join or was materially late, the session was cut short, a technical failure, a duplicate or incorrect charge, the wrong Pro, or a promised deliverable missing. Report within 7 days of the scheduled end — 14 days if you booked as a consumer in the EU or UK.
Leave a review when the session took place but you were disappointed by the advice, style or result. A review is not a refund request, and a refund doesn’t remove your right to review a session that took place. Safety, harassment, fraud and impersonation can be reported at any time as a Trust & Safety report.
Recording
Can I record my session?
Some paid sessions offer a recording option, where the Pro’s recording policy and the category allow it.
A Pro who allows recording agrees in advance to a recording a User has paid for; everyone else is asked in the session, and anyone can stop a recording at any time. Recording must be started through ProsAccess. Don’t record with your own device — many places require everyone’s consent.
Does ProsAccess automatically record calls?
No. A session is recorded only when a User has paid for a recording and the Pro’s recording setting allows it, or when everyone agrees in the session. Free Intros are never recorded.
Who can access a purchased recording?
Only the person who paid for the replay, signed in to ProsAccess on the web. A replay bought on the web plays on the web, not in the mobile apps.
Recordings are not public storage links.
How long are recordings available?
7 days after the session, then they are deleted.
Replay is for personal viewing only.
Pros & Verification
What is an Independent Pro?
An Independent Pro has created a professional presence on ProsAccess but has not completed the additional review required for ProsAccess Verified status.
Is an Independent Pro fake or untrusted?
No. Independent simply describes the Pro’s current verification status.
ProsAccess may still apply identity, safety, marketplace and payment controls before or while that Pro operates.
What does the verification badge actually verify?
That ProsAccess reviewed evidence appropriate to that Pro’s identity or professional claim.
The type of evidence differs by profession and by the risk of impersonation or regulation. Regulated credentials are checked separately, service by service.
How does ProsAccess prevent someone from pretending to be a famous person?
High-risk or protected identity claims need additional corroboration before the claimed identity can become publicly bookable or receive verified status.
Using someone’s name, photograph or social-media address is not proof of identity, and neither is an ID document on its own.
Does connecting Instagram mean ProsAccess gets my Instagram password?
No. ProsAccess never asks for your Instagram password.
Account control is confirmed through Instagram sign-in or another verification challenge.
Can another Pro vouch for someone?
Trusted referrals and explicit attestations can contribute to verification.
A referral alone does not prove a protected or high-profile identity.
Why would a verified Pro need further checks?
Verification is risk-based.
A regulated profession, a protected public identity, unusual account activity or another higher-risk situation may require additional evidence.
What is Session Reliability?
Session Reliability is the percentage of a Pro’s paid sessions that happened as booked, built only from ProsAccess’s own records. A Pro no-show, material lateness, a late cancellation by the Pro or time the Pro caused to go undelivered count against it; anything caused by the User or a ProsAccess outage never does.
It appears once a Pro has about 10 eligible paid sessions; before that the profile shows New on ProsAccess and the number of completed sessions. It’s independent of verification status and of reviews, and ProsAccess never publishes chargeback, dispute or complaint rates.
Licensed & Regulated Professionals
Are doctors, lawyers and other licensed professionals allowed on ProsAccess?
Yes, where permitted and when the applicable requirements are met.
Some services require credential, licence, jurisdiction or scope verification before they can be offered, and some are closed in some places.
Does talking to a lawyer automatically create an attorney-client relationship?
Not necessarily. Whether a formal professional relationship is created depends on the Pro, the service, applicable law and any additional agreement that professional requires.
Before booking a regulated service you’ll see a short acknowledgement that ProsAccess is not the provider.
Does talking to a medical professional replace my regular doctor?
No. ProsAccess provides access to professionals; it is not an emergency medical service and does not replace emergency or in-person care.
Can I use ProsAccess for an emergency?
No. If you are experiencing an immediate medical emergency or are in immediate danger, contact 911 or the appropriate emergency service where you are.
In the US you can call or text 988 for a mental-health crisis.
Accounts & Age
How old do I have to be to create a ProsAccess account?
ProsAccess accounts are for adults 18 and older.
Can a minor create their own User account?
No. Where a minor is permitted to participate in a session, the parent or legal guardian owns and manages the ProsAccess account, booking, payment and required consent.
Can a minor become a Pro?
No. Pros must be adults.
Can I book a session for my child?
Where the Pro accepts minor participants and the category allows it, a parent or legal guardian can book and manage the session for the minor from their own account, and the minor joins from the guardian’s device or a private session link.
How does ProsAccess know I’m over 18?
You tell us whether you’re 18 or older when you sign up, or before your first paid action. On iPhone we can also use the age range Apple shares for your account.
ProsAccess doesn’t ask for your date of birth.
Is my date of birth public?
ProsAccess doesn’t collect it.
If you add a child as a participant, their birth date or age band is private to you.
Why do I have to verify my email?
Email verification protects your account, bookings and communications, and is required before you can book, sell or message.
Can I be both a User and a Pro?
Yes. One account has both a User and a Pro experience; you don’t need two accounts.
Notifications
What notifications can ProsAccess send me?
Depending on your settings and region: in-app notifications, push notifications (iPhone and Android apps), email, text messages and WhatsApp.
Text messages and WhatsApp need a verified mobile number and your consent, and depend on your country and our providers — not every channel is available everywhere.
Can I choose how ProsAccess contacts me?
Yes. Optional notifications can be configured per topic and channel in Settings → Notifications.
ProsAccess never silently turns on a channel you disabled. Reply STOP to any text to stop texts.
What notifications cannot be turned off?
Essential transactional and account-security communications — receipts, refunds, booking-critical messages and security notices — are always sent.
Can I get notified when a specific Pro becomes available?
Yes. Choose Get notified on a Pro’s profile for Available NOW, bookings reopening or new Users being accepted.
You’ll see and can remove these alerts in Settings.
Can I get notified specifically about Group Sessions?
Yes. Select Notify me about Group Sessions on the Pro’s profile.
Privacy & Safety
Are my conversations private?
ProsAccess never publishes private messages or session conversations, and never reads them for advertising or personalization.
Access stays limited to what safety, legal and platform requirements need.
Does ProsAccess sell my personal information to Pros?
No. Pros receive what they need to provide the session, not access to your account or payment information.
Can a Pro see my payment information?
Can ProsAccess staff see my ID if I become verified?
Identity verification is handled by a verification provider; ProsAccess keeps the result, not the document number or your date of birth, and identity documents are never displayed publicly.
Can I report someone?
Yes. Users and Pros can report impersonation, harassment, inappropriate behaviour, suspected fraud or other violations through ProsAccess or at support@prosaccess.com.
What happens if someone impersonates me?
Contact ProsAccess.
Protected identity claims are paused from public listing while ownership or professional identity is reviewed.
For Pros
How do I become a Pro?
Create your ProsAccess account, switch to the Pro experience and complete your professional profile.
Depending on your profession and claims, additional verification may be required before some services can be offered publicly.
Does it cost money to create a Pro profile?
No. Platform fees apply to transactions and are shown to you before you sell.
What is the standard ProsAccess platform fee?
For a one-to-one session the standard platform fee is 15% of the session price, plus the actual payment-processing cost of the payment, which the Pro bears — Users pay exactly the listed price. Promotions and referral benefits can apply, and some regulated services use an approved fee for that service and jurisdiction, which may be a fixed fee.
Group Sessions have their own economics (the host receives 75% of each seat’s price, however it was bought), and future products may have theirs — always shown before you participate.
Do I choose my own rates?
Yes. Pros choose their session lengths and prices within the limits available to their account.
What if my normal rate is higher than the standard ProsAccess limit?
Higher limits may be available for established Pros — contact support@prosaccess.com.
Do I have to publish my calendar?
No. Choose the scheduling model that fits how you work: Published Availability, Availability Upon Request, Available NOW, or a combination.
Can I block out specific dates or times?
Yes. Your schedule can include recurring availability as well as exceptions.
Can I connect my calendar?
Yes. Connect an external calendar so existing commitments help prevent scheduling conflicts.
Can I turn my profile off temporarily?
Yes. You can pause bookings without deleting your account or history.
Can I limit bookings to people I already work with?
Yes. Scheduled bookings can be restricted to existing Users only.
Can I accept bookings involving minors?
Only if you switch on Accept minor participants and the guardian-controlled booking and consent flow is used.
Regulated and adult-only categories stay closed to minors.
Can I host Group Sessions?
Yes. Create public or private Group Sessions with a scheduled start, duration, seat price (or free) and capacity.
Upcoming Group Sessions appear as commitments on your Schedule.
Will Group Sessions block my 1:1 availability?
Yes. A scheduled Group Session occupies that time and prevents conflicting bookings.
How will Users discover my Group Session?
Public Group Sessions surface through Group Session discovery, your profile, Explore, search and your share link.
Users who subscribed to your Group Session notifications are alerted when you publish one.
Can I offer a Free Intro?
Yes. Free Intro is an optional 15-minute introduction you can offer once per User, separate from paid services.
When do I set up payouts?
You can publish, sell and earn before completing payout setup.
Payout and compliance information must be completed before earnings can be transferred, and may be required earlier when regulations or risk controls require it. Earnings are never forfeited for a late setup.
How and when do I get paid?
For each paid session ProsAccess records the amount paid, the platform fee and your earnings.
After the session completes, your earnings are Pending for 7 calendar days — 14 days when the User booked as a consumer in the EU or UK — then Available, then Paid Out to your connected payout account. An open session issue holds the affected earnings until it’s resolved; refunds, chargebacks and compliance checks can hold or adjust them.
Who handles my taxes?
Pros are independent and remain responsible for their own tax obligations.
ProsAccess and its payment provider may request tax information or issue required reporting forms depending on jurisdiction and thresholds.
Does ProsAccess employ Pros?
No. Pros operate independently unless a separate written relationship explicitly says otherwise.
Can I edit my profile after verification?
Yes. Ordinary profile updates don’t remove verification.
Changes to identity-critical information may pause the badge while ProsAccess reviews them.
Can I respond to Users before accepting a request?
Yes. You can message the User before deciding whether to offer a time.
Can Users review me?
Paid sessions that actually took place can be reviewed.
Reviews are tied to real ProsAccess transactions, not anonymous posting; requests, Free Intros and Group Session seats aren’t reviewable, and neither is a session that was cancelled or where someone never joined — its objective outcome goes to your Session Reliability instead. A refund doesn’t remove a User’s right to review a session that took place.
Access & Technology
Do I need the app?
No. ProsAccess works on the web, and the iPhone and Android apps offer the same core experience.
Is there an Android app?
Not yet. Everything is available on the web from any phone or computer.
Do I need special video software?
No. Sessions run in your browser or in the ProsAccess app.
What timezone are sessions shown in?
In your local time zone, with the zone shown, so Users and Pros can coordinate across locations.
Can people in different countries use ProsAccess?
ProsAccess is designed to connect Users and Pros across locations.
Availability varies with payment support, regulations, professional licensing, jurisdiction and the type of service.
Support
I still need help. How do I contact ProsAccess?
Email support@prosaccess.com.
For a booking issue, include the email on your account and enough detail for us to find the transaction. Never send passwords or full card details.
