Group Sessions

Version 2026-10-09 · Effective October 6, 2026 · XSTATIC ENTERTAINMENT, INC. (California, USA) · 63f4c7a82414

A Group Session is a live video session hosted by a Pro for several participants — a class, workshop, Q&A, demonstration, discussion or similar. The host provides the content; ProsAccess provides the room, the seats and the payment.

1. What a Group Session is

A Group Session has a host, a title and description, a scheduled start (in the host's time zone, shown to you in yours), a duration, a seat price (free, or a price within the seat limits) and, if the host sets one, a capacity. It is public (listed on the host's profile, in Group Session discovery and search, and shareable by a link) or private (reachable only by a link the host shares; never listed).

States. A Group Session is Upcoming until its start, Live now between its start and its end, then Ended; it may show Sold out while no seats remain, or Cancelled if the host cancels. The Platform shows the state and the option that applies to you (Book seat, Reserve seat, Join for the price, Join now, You're in, Sold out, Booking closed, Cancelled, Watch replay).

3. Cancellations, refunds and rescheduling

4. Attending

Join from the session page when it is live (a few minutes early is allowed). Attendees are not on camera and are muted unless the host invites them on stage; the host sees the participant list and hand-raises; one guest may be on stage at a time. Conduct rules in the Terms apply. If you have access, the option to join is shown; without a seat the Platform shows whether you can still book.

Chat. A Group Session has a text chat. During the session it is the place where people talk; afterwards it stays readable, as a read-only thread in Messages, to the host and to everyone who held a seat (whether or not they joined) for 30 days after the session ends, and is then deleted. Messages carry the poster's name. The conduct rules in the Terms apply to the chat; listed words are masked as they are written; you can report any chat message and block any account from within the Platform (a blocked person's chat messages are hidden from you), and ProsAccess may remove a message that breaks the Terms.

5. Recording and replay

A host may record a Group Session. Where recording is enabled it is shown on the session page before you book and in the room. When the session ends, every seat holder receives a replay link, available for 7 days, for personal viewing only. There is no individual opt-out in a recorded Group Session: if you do not want to be captured, do not go on stage, or do not join. The chat is not part of the recording; it is shown beside the replay and in Messages for 30 days (Section 4). See the Recording and Replay Policy.

6. Hosting (Pros)

6A. Educational format — regulated subjects, not individualized regulated services

A Group Session may cover any subject, including regulated ones — for example medical research, treatment developments and clinical evidence, medical education, healthcare policy, developments in the law, legal education, litigation strategy at a general level, professional practice, financial education, entrepreneurship and career mentorship. A Group Session is an educational and discussion format. Taking part does not create a professional relationship (for example doctor–patient, attorney–client or adviser–client) with the host, and the group format is not for individualized regulated professional services. A host must not use a Group Session to diagnose an attendee, recommend or modify treatment or medication for an attendee's own condition, advise an attendee on their own legal matter or financial situation, or otherwise establish an individualized professional relationship; attendees should not use a Group Session to ask for that. Individual advice is booked as a one-to-one session, where the rules for that service apply. Jurisdiction-specific rules for particular kinds of educational events still apply where they exist.

7. Notify me about Group Sessions

Anyone can choose Notify me about Group Sessions on a Pro's profile, with or without a booking. It is a notification preference: when that Pro publishes a new public Group Session, you are told once, through the channels you chose. It is not a follow, not a booking and not marketing consent; the host sees only how many people subscribed, never who. Remove it any time in Settings → Notifications.

8. Discovery

Public Group Sessions appear on the host's profile, in Group Session browse, in Explore and search, and through their share link. Listing order is a discovery tool, not an endorsement.
